This work
addresses a rigorous study of material properties, analytical techniques and processing
science with program options to explore and demonstrate these high value
components for maritime platforms, portable ports, and similar applications.
The coupling and decking components which would result from the program offer
an excellent example of technology transfer from the Government to industrial
partners for both military and commercial benefit.
